The Christmas Eve Google postcard illustrates what appears to be a fireworks display on either Mars or Venus. Of course, this is in keeping with their apparent trend of unrealistic and unchristmassy postcards. Honestly, who does a fireworks display over mossy-dirty (not snowy) mountains. Who sets off fireworks at sunset as shown in the image, or maybe it is just hellish light pollution. You know nothing says Christmas like smog and a polluted river. This image does not even inspire me to think about celebrating. To me it looks like Merry and Pippin accidently lit of some fireworks while they were traveling through the Martian Misty Mountains. I have such great hopes for tomorrow’s Christmas postcard, maybe it will show how the Tusken Raiders celebrate Christmas on Tattooine.
