Postcard 3

The next holiday postcard from Google features a serene cabin in the middle of a densely wooded coniferous forest with a nice mountain backdrop with a snowy peak. I am not sure whether the trees have white Christmas lights on them or if that is a bit of remaining snow. Regardless this forest appears to be in a rather warm area since there is not much snow cover, which limits the realistic geographic locations of this forest specifically to the southern hemisphere. Furthermore, the lights on the cabin suggest either proximity to a power grid or the presences of a generator. In short, this postcard is both unrealistic and lacks the traditional imagery associated with Christmas or even winter. There is a canoe instead of people ice skating on the lake and greenery instead of snow. I guess Google truly wants to portray Christmas worldwide and transcend the traditional stereotypes.
